Sadly this is a daily occurrence in Spain, dogs are routinely abandoned in the mountains where my daughter lives. She can't rescue them all so she keep a bag of Kibble in her truck, and every day when she goes down the mountain she stops and feeds the abandoned pooches. if any appear to be ill or injured she'll take them to her vet and then take them home and take care of them until she finds them a new home. Just last week she found a puppy..no more than 8 weeks old..abandoned, and riddled with worms. She had the puppy cleaned up and given her injections and meds by the vet ..and she's now looking after her at home until she's old enough to go to a forever home!! People can be so incredibly cruel to animals at times
