Bing Cherries

Can you believe that cherries are $6.99 a pound at the local supermarket? However, if you have a store "card" they are $2.99 a pound. I can't see anyone that doesn't have the store buying card paying $7 a pound for fruit!

Two of our stores had them 1.99 a lb. last week. One with your card and one without, I love them frozen as a snack. I would not pay $7.00 a lb but that's just me.

Some people find it hard to believe that cherries are only selling for $2.99/pound.

You need a store card anymore to get any decent prices or sales, I have one for Safeway, Kroger, Petsmart, Walgreens, etc.

I got them for $1.99 lb a couple of weeks ago with the store card. Not only are they available for only one or two weeks but my store limits the amount you can buy at the sale price.

No store card in Metro in Canada. Cherries imported from the U.S. are 2.99 a pound.

We also get cherries from British Columbia in Canada and they are the same price. That extends the season because they come in later. They taste different than the ones from the states.

I also tried the Rainier cherries this year. They were all good. It must have been a good year for cherries.

I am in Kansas and I was so surprised to find cherries at Kroger at 1.99 a lb all through July, except for this week when they dropped to $1.87. :) And no limit. This is the first year that I have had cherries in a long while, usually, they are too pricey. I would not pay $7 a lb either.
