I turned the local news on, and they were talking about a man who just received a bionic eye. Can you imagine how important this could be for the sight impaired. My step-mother was blind, and I always felt sad for her. She lost her sight in her mid thirties, and I could tell how frightened she was just moving around her own home. I hope this is a break through for the blind.:eek:nthego::love_heart:
 
There are some amazing new medical breakthroughs, but I wonder how much a bionic eye would cost, and if the average person could afford it....or if insurance would cover something like that?
 
I would think that until they perfect the the bionic eye it would be cost free , just to get people to test it. Then when they get it working correctly they will charge for it, and maybe the Obama care will cover the greater part of the cost.
Last week I was diagnosed with the beginning of cataracts, but that has come a long way as in the last ten years, so I'm to not to worried about it. The Dr. said I have a few year before I need to address the issue.

Just had cataracts surgery last month....REALLY its a piece of cake to have it done,dont let that word "Surgery" scare you.
