Birds..........................

One thing I really enjoy doing is tossing pieces of bread into the air for the gulls to swoop down and catch on the wing. Fascinating.
OH! While I'm at it here's another exciting tale from the tube:
Now, I've mentioned a preference for paddling out long before sunrise with stars in the sky (the best!). Well, one fine morning as the sky was showing signs of light in the east I noticed some pelicans skimming the surface of the water headed right toward me. I immediately ducked and could hear the air whistling through their feathers as they swooped by within inches! Good times.
 
I have a cousin in Austin, Texas who is terrified of birds! After watching the movie, "Birds", I was too but do enjoy bird watching now. They are fascinating creatures.

Yeah. What a great flick and even better short story. It originated many years ago from news reports of disoriented seabirds coming ashore and crashing into things. Did you know they evolved from dinosaurs? Cool.

The only reason I knew that fact is because my husband thinks he's a walking encyclopedia. :rolleyes: :censored: :cautious:
