Black mirrors or other mediums for scrying…

Have you or anyone familiar to you (such as psychics) ever used black mirrors or other mediums for scrying, a practice used for divination or fortune telling? Visions or thoughts may sometimes be derived by those sensitive from the practice, which goes back thousands of years across a variety of cultures. Nostradamus gazed into a bowl of water for his revelations, while the use of crystal balls is classic. Is the use of such a medium necessary, or just an enhancement to the psychic? Can one by repetition “train” or gain skills in the practice?

i have never gotten a reading from a 'professional' psychic, have let friends read Tarot for me with mixed results, accuracy. Maybe twice in my life i've had a reading from a psychic at an event where most of the $$ collected went to charity. Had the best (most accurate) readings via psychometry by other people in the Silva graduate's group i belonged to for a couple of years. Also gave some very accurate readings.

As i said on the thread where someone asked about Ouija board use, i consider all such instruments tools. So are candles and meditation tapes (both audio alone or visuals and audio). As such they can be useful and helpful or problematic. They are only as beneficial or harmful as the 'operator', the human involved.

Candles and incense can help both reader and sitter relax, slow their brain waves to 'alpha' rhythms and thus be more in tune with each other. So can certain forms of music.

I never considered Astrological readings to be a psychic medium, but it has some similarities. The birth chart is kind of like an oracle in that you can talk about stuff that is hidden to the persons current viewpoint. Mostly the readings I have done have been helpful, a few not so much. I don't do predictions.

I have unsuccessfully tried black mirror gazing, which only made me sleepy. My best results also have come with quartz crystal gazing…no clear revelations, but rather a sensation that I was at a portal to a separate reality or another world…
