Blues, The Devil's music ?

I just bought a double album called "The Devil's music" which features a selection of Memphis and Chicago blues. I've got no idea why it's got that name, but I was intrigued by the story of Robert Johnson. In his early days he was a pretty mediocre musician and disappeared from the music scene for a while. When he returned he he had changed into a great guitarist and the story emerged that he had sat down to rest at a crossroads where he met the Devil and sold his soul for the gift of musicianship. In reality, he possibly just found a good teacher and practised a lot, but it was the story of meeting the Devil that stuck.

This is Luci from Disenchantment on Netflix, the “guy who makes you feel good about doing bad.” Seen by most humans as a weird, talking cat, Luci is a demon who evolves during the series from being a tempter to being a protector, ultimately dying in an effort to save his charge, and becoming…an ascended demon in Heaven, complete with angel wings! A fascinating and ultimately sympathetic character, kind of a reverse Lucifer…a bad guy who turns good! 🐈‍⬛
