Body Tatoos/Piercings. Accepted my some and not by others. Your thoughts?

When I see a person with facial tats I think.....That is a person who never wants to hold a good job, and they don't care about it, either. Some people are just human wreckage staggering through life. JimB.

I'm not a great fan of tattoos. I see it as deforming a perfectly good body. Plus, they tend to be just blue blobs after a while. And if I'm going to go to bed with somebody, I don't want to see a crummy copy of the Sistine Chapel all over them. Tattoos I can live with, but a hair bun on a guy, NO WAY!!!!!!!!

I had not seen facial tattoos until I worked in a prison. Most inmates have tattoos, there's a small percentage that has facial tattoos. Their demeanor is different, it's like they have withdrawn from the human species, into a dark corner of their own making.

If your going to get one why not go all out. I love this one! :)

Insane 3D Tattoos T

I have pierced ears and that will be it. No tattoos ever or any other body parts pierced.

Years ago, I had a supervisor who had a tattoo on his forearm he got while in the Corp. He said he always regretted getting it after he got out. That made an impression on me.

As far as jobs go, personally, I feel it's unprofessional to have tats where they are visible while you work. It doesn't matter where you work at, unless you are a tattoo artist.

I know several guys who have tattoos, but you can't see them when they are in uniform. A couple of others have full-sleeve tats that, to me, are tacky.

Many years ago, a young woman was arrested who had a crop top on and she had a full-colored tattoo of an eagle all across her abdomen. I wonder now, after either having a kid or just age-related weight gain, if it resembles a turkey today.

Navy boot camp 78 sailors in my recruit company. 77 either had or got tattoos. I didn't have a tat & wouldn't get one.

As for the question
Body Tatoos/Piercings. Accepted by some and not by others. Your thoughts?

I don't care, their bodies their choice.

I do remember seeing a picture of an old biker chick that had multiple tats that didn't have that same quality because of sagging skin & wrinkles.

I have no interest in people who put that much effort into their appearance. It makes them seem superficial, and that's generally the case. Interesting people don't have the time to hang all those ornaments on their bodies or to create all those designs on their skin. I prefer to be around people with intellectual pursuits when I have to be around people.

I don't have any tattoos or body piercings.
I have no problem if a guy has a smallish arm tattoo: like "USMC" with a globe and anchor, but much more than that bothers me. In the military, it is frowned upon if an officer has tattoos, but ok for "the men".

It really creeps me out if a person has facial tattoos or more than one piercing for both ears. I get especially creeped out by nose and/or tongue piercings.

I look upon tattoos like I look at graffiti sprayed on a wall.

I don't really have strong feelings about it, one way or the other. I don't care for tattoos on the face. Having said that, I do have cosmetic tattooing - eyeliner. Nobody has ever noticed that it's tattooed and I have never regretted it. It was done by the best cosmetic tattoo artist in Dallas. The look has just softened with time.

I am surprised by some of the strong reactions expressed here.

I also have pierced ears, one earring per ear. Don't care for the nose thing either, but have no strong feelings about it. To each his own.

I think I have mentioned on this forum before that I plan to get the DNR one on the chest.

I see nothing wrong with discrete tattoos that can be easily covered with clothes. Those who cover their face and necks, etc. are limiting their opportunities for a good job, etc.

I cannot understand anyone wanting a nose or lip piercing....that must create some potential health issues if they get a head cold, etc. Years ago, I worked with a person whose daughter got a tongue piercing, which got infected, and she had to have half her tongue removed.

I hate tats. When you have a tat plastered all over your arm for the one true love in your life, and next to it another large tat for the only other one true love #2, in your life, and next to it is another tat for the one true #3 love; that kind of says a lot for your decision making ability.

It certainly says a lot for their lovelife too :)

I have more important things to be concerned about than what someone else does to their body. No tattoos on me, but no problem for me if others are covered in ink. The only tattoo I ever received was the ink injected into a cancer tumor so the surgeon could find it when I was opened up. The ink was removed with the tumor, so no ink on or in me. :)

it is what it is,iv had tattoos for over 60yrs,,they dont bother me,,,
i think blokes who shave there heads look daft, but thats life
