Bohemian Rhapsody

My son and dil saw it and they loved it! My son wanted a little more of Freddie's personal life, but all in all he really enjoyed it.

I hate going out to the movies; haven't been in several years, but I just love Freddie and Queen so much, I'm tempted.

Me too to ALL. I haven’t been to a theatre since Edward scissorhands came out in 1990 but this sounds so good I might be tempted too.

LOL, 1990! At least you went to a movie worth seeing, Keesha.

I went in this century, but I can't remember what I saw. I was talkd into it by my friend, LOL.

I haven't seen the movie. I don't go out to see movies much, but I would like to for this one. Two of my cousins in Vienna were gay, with one who died of Aids, but not really. He actually died of Hepatitis C because of dirty needles then. That mostly goes together. I went to see him in Vienna for three years. He sent me some of Freddi's videos. He died because of jumping out of the hospital window when his liver went really bad and his mind went.

Edit: But he remembered his cat, which he saved from the streets. And he made sure that a friend took the cat before he jumped. His friend e-mailed me about it.

Saw it a few days ago. It was very good. I saw Queen perform live at least 4 times and can say that Freddie Mercury was a performer like none I've seen before or since. The movie captured him very well. I was delighted that the movie used original music. Rami Malek did a terrific job of channeling Freddie, though no one could fully replicate FM's wonderful swagger. There were some timeline inaccuracies that Queen fans will spot, but given that they were compressing decades into a two hour film I'd say they did an admirable job.

We'll undoubtedly go see it again in a week or so. This is one of those films that benefits mightily from a large screen and top notch sound system.

Knowing the kind of sensationalizing slant that Sacha Baron Cohen brings to his work, I was not in favor of him playing Freddie and was greatly relieved when he didn't wind up in the film.

RIP Freddie. You were gone too soon from us.

While I enjoy some of their music, I do not enjoy them enough to see the movie. Just me. I am sure my husband will watch once it is streaming somewhere, but I have little interest.

 The last movie I saw in a theater was Julia Roberts in Sleeping With the Enemy in 1991. I'm not much on movie theaters, but I love movies.

I'll probably watch Bohemian Rhapsody when it hits Netflix or HBO.

Lol! I liked ‘Sleeping with the Enemy.’ That was a great movie.
I’d much rather watch it at home too but my girlfriend is more social than I am, so I’m doing it for her mainly, plus it’s been recommended to be seen in a theatre type setting which we don’t have in this house. I’ll watch it again when it comes out. My man isn’t really a Queen fan.

I live movies too.

This was a great movie. My girlfriend and I went to see it tonight.
It was $5 to get in and was awesome. It was loud which was perfect for this particular movie.
I really liked how they kept it light and respectful. Not too much profanity.
Loved it! And loved that it wasn’t crowded. Very spacious
