My dog does not understand hand signals. When I point at something, he looks at my hand, not where I'm pointing.

Attended a dog show where they had an agility contest. One trainer (owner?) had two bearded collies entered, back to back. Every time their front paws hit the ground, along the entire course, they would bark, one bark. It was hilarious!

In this rural, farming/ranching community, every year they have a herding contest. I hope someday to hear about it far enough in advance to go. Those dogs are amazing to watch! I lived next door to a cattle grazing field and now and then the owner would use his dogs to move them around. I would stand at the fence and watch.
