Bossy Seniors

I don't know why, but I can tell you what's wrong wth your life. I can see how dumb you run your life. It's perfectly obvious that you should............. I just don't know why I can't see any of that stuff in my own life. How come?

As you well know, the news of Cornovirus is keeping a lot of people home; especially seniors. In the last few days, I have met several "bossy" seniors. You know, what I mean. The type that tell you what you should do. Sort of reminds me of living under communisms where every one was watching everyone. These bossy seniors have started telling me that I shouldn't shop for groceries, shouldn't do this & shouldn't do that. They have appointed themselves medical experts. I think that these seniors have too much time, not enough hobbies & some of them are getting nasty by being inside too long. What do you think? I have always been pretty independ; a bit of a rebel all my life & it bothers me having some one tell me how high to jump or what colour socks to wear. LOL Have you come across any bossy, nasty, not minding their own business seniors? I hope not! Maybe it's me. Maybe I should just tell them to go fly a kit or jump in the lake.
Have I come across any bossy, nasty, not minding their own business seniors? Not in our real life. We don’t meet many people in our day to day life except when we go out shopping or go to government buildings and everyone has been wonderful. The only thing I’ve noticed is that the atmosphere here at the site has changed some which I suppose is understandable. Our world has changed drastically. It’s too bad the site is so divided due to the pandemic, especially considering its ALL online communication only. Nobody is going to infect anyone else by chatting online so I’m not sure why there’s so many judgments but there are.

I like to say "hi" to a cashier & call him/her by the name on his/her tag. It makes a world of difference in a world where so many people are starring at their "stupid" phones all day long.
Bless you! My son's a cashier and he says the large majority of his customers never look up from their phones during the entire transaction, they don't even grunt when he asks them if they found everything or if they want something in a bag or not, there are a lot of young people growing up with zero social skills. All his favorite customers are older men. Even though they tend to bark at him and ask him why he isn't in the army. ( He's 53)
