Only problem is, it's 1,153 pages! Good god. The one time I didn't check how many pages prior to purchasing, I usually do.

I read that thing several years ago. Good story, but man, does that lad like to hear himself talk...... I'm usually pretty relieved when they're over. The exception was "The Stand", which I could have just gone on reading forever.

There were several Steven King novels up at the clubhouse lending library and I slogged through them this summer. I think I'm Steven Kinged out for a while.

Stephen King is my favorite author. He is a great story teller. He does have a little trouble with endings however.

Good authors usually take a little time in the beginning of their books to develop characters and environment, etc. So King is doing just that. If you want an easier read try a talking book. It is kind of like listening to a movie. Takes a lot less time. It can be just like a book, you won't be able to put it down.

I listened to "Needful Things" and King himself Narrated it. King can be funny and knows just how to tell his own story. I used to like to listen to books if I was doing something while sitting down. I used to paint. But, you can do it if you are moving around as long as what you are doing isn't too noisy.

Your local library should have a talking book section and "It" has been released to the library for some time. You can take more than one book home with you. If you get addicted like I did you could listen to 3 books a week. This is 150 books per year on almost any subject. I love me some talking books.

Try Dean Koontzs. Know I have the spelling wrong. Try a book called "Intensity" if you haven't already. Also try Michael Crichton. There is a book called "Micro" that will blow your socks off.

Forget Stephen King ... Greyson has written these which are far better (anon) ;
