Same for me... some of the people who've been here just a few weeks "click" with me right away and I always look for their posts and would absolutely notice if they don't post for a while. Amelia is one of those people.

I’ve read the post you refer to three times now, and I still find nothing offensive by it. I also find no offensive intent. The question therefore is, for the sake of clarity, what exactly is offensive about it.

I get the impression none of us will find out what was supposed to be so offensive.

What issue do you have with my post?

You are asking me to look at Amelia B's post, and then asking me to have some compassion. What exactly is it that you feel I might have no compassion about/for, and why would you think that?

You ask why I am getting involved in your post, because I can, as everyone else can. And similarly as you might get involved in other peoples posts, in an open forum.

Why are you bringing this thread down to this level?
 
I think I can see where this thread has fallen apart. Perhaps based on making assumptions of other peoples words, and then perhaps then making more assumptions based on those previous assumptions. I see it everywhere, it becomes a vicious circle, and one that can be difficult to get out of. Especially then when someone might ask for clarity, and none is given. Instead more assumptions are made.

I’m so sorry for how you are feeling, Amelia.
I totally understand what you’re saying and feeling.
Sadly, it only takes so very few, that add discomfort, and that’s very few too many.
I hope you will return when you feel the time is right…..have enjoyed you and your posts…..will miss you.
