Legendary boxer George Foreman has died at the age of 76, his family have announced on Instagram.

Their statement, posted on Foreman's account, read: 'Our hearts are broken. With profound sorrow, we announced the passing of our beloved George Edward Foreman St. who peacefully departed on March 21, 2025 surrounded by loved ones.

'A devout preacher, a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grand and great grandfather, he lived a life marked by unwavering faith, humility, and purpose.

'Humanitarian, an Olympian, and two time heavyweight champion of the world, he was deeply respected - a force for good, a man of discipline, conviction, and a protector of his legacy, fighting tirelessly to preserve his good name - for his family.

'We are grateful for the outpouring of love and prayers, and kindly ask for privacy as we honor the extraordinary life of a man we were blessed to call our own.'

Foreman was a two-time world heavyweight champion and won an Olympic gold medal in Mexico City in 1968.

He always sounded like a wonderful man with a great disposition.

I remember after he annihilated Joe Frasier in '72, I couldn't see anyone beating him. I was actually afraid for M. Ali for their fight in 1974-- the "Rumble in the Jungle". But Ali brilliantly used the "rope-a-dope" until Foreman tired, then Ali beat him.

Did you know that he named most of his children George Foreman?
"The late boxing champion gave all of his five sons the same name – George Edward Foreman — and was also father to daughters Natalie, Leola, Michi, Georgetta and the late Freeda.

Foreman often spoke about why he named his sons George, explaining that sharing the same name united his children together. “I wanted them to have something in common ... I tell them if one goes up, we all go up. If one gets in trouble, we’re all in trouble,” Foreman said on In Depth with Graham Besinger in 2021. “I tell them, either live up to the name or change it.”

He might have been the champ, but I think her was coo-coo along with his wife(wives).:ROFLMAO:
