Boxing is making a comeback! Should it?

I remember listening to the Joe Louis, Billy Conn fights with my dad. Two fights for the world Championship. I sparred with Golden Gloves fighters training for upcoming fights (dad wouldn't allow me to fight in Golden Gloves). I remember coming home from school with a bloody nose and dad wanting to know what happened. I told my dad a guy just gave me a whipping with his fists. All my dad said you need to learn how to take care of yourself. He left the house and shortly came home with two pairs of boxing gloves. He stated training me(during the depression he had signed on with a carnival as a boxer and wrestler, taking on all comers. He learned about boxing the hard way). He taught me how to fight and one time I zapped him pretty good with a right cross. He caught me smack on the chin. I hit the side of the house and saw stars as I slide down the side of the house, out like a light. I boxed a little in the Army, friendly competition, the winner in each class got to go to japan and fight for the Far East championship. I made it to the third fight. A kid from new jersey knocked me out in the third round.

For years I followed boxing because I knew fighters in each weight class. Then boxing sort of went to pot, or I did. It's been many years since I have seen a fight. I know that Harry Reid was a boxer in his youth and the current Prime minister of Australia boxed in his college years. I doubt boxing is any worse than football personally, but you can be the judge. I'm just making a comment.
