A bit monotonous, but today was 85 and mostly sunny. The sea breezes were most welcome.

Still freezing at minus 17 C -- up from yesterday. It will be a warm 0 C tomorrow, can't wait.

It's just crazy and yes this house is over a hundred years old. I'm sure it's the original insulation and boiler too BRRRRRRRR. On the couch earlier with Sophie above me and Callie on my lap. Even with robes and coats and blankets pulled around, one or both dogs was making the whole couch tremble. The only respite is a hot shower, but then you have to come out eventually.

Both cars would not start,had to boost them.

Woke up to no water Sunday morning! I had to warm the pipe coming into the building with a space heater to break the jam. After the power outage and then this, February can't end soon enough...

Radio said the coldest place in the USA was Watertown, NY. Minus 37 degrees last night. Fort Drum is located there. Took my reserve training there, but during the summer. 1959and 1960.

Thanks Ken, it sounds very inviting, it's the mildest Winter here for years, since records began in fact, but even so would love to spend Winter somewhere warm.
