A British beverage company is seeking an "official cocktail tester" to get paid more than $280 to spend a year drinking free cocktails.

I would love it as I have not tasted many in my long life. As long as its just a taste or two. I could do it, Any more than that at a time I would have to take a nap.

that's it? $280? lol! if i was gonna be a booze enthusiast i'd need money to live on since i'd likely lose my job.

It would probably work in a similar way to wine tasting. Not as much fun as you might think. They probably just take a sip and spit it out into a convenient bucket or something, and then give it a rating according to how much they liked the taste. I doubt that anyone gets drunk.
