Female sports broadcaster/journalist & stalking victim Erin Andrews was told by her then employer ESPN she had to do an interview about her stalker & incident to keep working or stay on air. That fact came out during testimony in a civil suit against the hotel where the stalker/peeping tom filmed her then releasing the video. She said it implied they didn't believe her & it was a publicity stunt.

So what if people thought it was a publicity stunt. If ESPN didn't believe they should've told her upfront and given a chance to tell her version to management. Better yet they should've confronted her with proof it was a stunt. Otherwise they needed to shut the heck up.

Nothing like pouring salt into a wound and further victimizing the victim. *sigh* Amazing how insensitive many can be.

Jury awards Andrews 55 Million dollars. Hotel and stalker both found guilty/liable of enabling or participating in this high profile peeping tom incident.

I worked as a hotel desk clerk before. We were not even allowed to give out room numbers when a spouse asked for the room number of their spouse without the permission of the one who checked in. So, how about celebrities??..even more rigid rules.

That was only part of it. I saw excerpts from testimony of various people including early friends and colleagues and they were asked questions about the type of social/media attention she gets/got of a sexual nature as to imply it should be expected being a celebrity.

Isn't that horrible? Good grief.
