Since the injury of my friend I have contemplated my own brushes with death and how these events have affected me. I just may have been born under a lucky star, but we all know eventually death knocks on everyone's door. I have tried to prepare the way for when my last day comes to make things easier for my children by making my will and I constantly say if I have anything that is very sentimental to you then just take it now while I'm alive. I can say that I'm not really afraid of dying, but I am afraid of pain. I have a low tolerance for pain. I think that for me my brushes with death made me more and more aware to always say ' I still love you' after an argument with any family member & also not to hold grudges after an argument. This is a list of some of my brushes with death and I'm going to leave some out. How about you? Any 'brushes with death' stories and how did it affect your life? I know there are some people with very bad health problems that face death every day.
Robbed at gunpoint in Houston 6 times. ( That was a bad luck city for me)
Breast cancer survivor ( I rarely ever talk about that one )
Flew over an over pass off into air, just flying in my truck and landed in mud with only minor scrapes and bruises.
Have heart issues ( wear a vial of heart pills around my neck)
Almost did not make it out of my burning house
Had a very bad wreck & fractured the C2 in my neck
That's my basic list which is actually short. Some people have LONG lists
