That sounds really good!!!
I had never heard of it. Love potatoes and want to use more cabbage, claim it's good against cancer. So, after reading this thread I made it and it's delicious. I made it in a glass container and also made patties in a cookie sheet. I liked the patties better, will make them again.

@Kaila - They bubble, don't know if they squeak, I'm deaf. 😹

Those patties sound delicious!

And okay, yours bubble, and might squeak. :sneaky:

Did your cats perk their ears , and creep about the cooking area, perhaps trying to locate the origin of any possible squeaks? :ROFLMAO:

OR, do yours spit hot liquid toward you? If so, they probably either squeak, squak or yell.

BTW, if you want to, toss in a carrot or a chunk of orange squash, in that pot. I used to make a very similar soup, and it was a very good 3-way combination. Small white beans would go well, too. I think they are called navy beans even though they are not navy.;)

I'll remember that next time, I love all beans. You can see my patties at post #44 here.

Today I made something I've never made before, Eggplant Parmigiana. I've made lasagna plenty of times, but not this, which is made basically the same, in layers. This one you have to flour, egg, and fry all the individual eggplant slices. Yum! I will have tonight with rice and green salad.

Oh my gosh, that looks mouth-watering!
(And I love eggplant)

@Catlady You could just stew-boil some cabbage, in a chunk,
lightly, to go next to it.

Though I don't think you will need anything with that! Scrumptious!

Oh, "with rice and green salad"
... If you weren't a catlady, you could have been a chef!

Nah, I'm a ''go by the recipe'' slave, I have no imagination for cooking. Trying recipes is my new retirement hobby. I got that recipe from this You-Tube video. And no, I didn't go crazy with salt like the lady did (go to 11:00), I only salted it the once to bleed it and didn't use another grain of salt after that. Watch it, even the posters were shocked at all the salt she used. I wonder if it was edible after cooking?

I also like Brussels fried with chestnuts and bacon.in butter...Mmmmm
