Buffalo Sabres,headed to hockey playoffs

Our local pro hockey team, Buffalo Sabres have ended a 14 yr drought are headed to the playoffs-YEAH!
They made the remarkable turn around in Dec, they were in last place in the Atlantic division, then put together a 10 game winning streak started climbing up to the top. They won the division, ended the season with 50 wins, 23 losses 109 points
I'm thrilled for the team,,players, head coach, Lindy Ruff{ his 2nd time as coach} long suffering fans, what this is doing for the city
I've been watching them on /off for years,when Lindy was hired in 2024 I figured maybe he could motivate the team,he certainly has this yr
My brother who lives out of state called me out of the blue a couple weeks ago asking if I wanted to go to a Sabres playoff game.I said' Yes',sometime this upcoming weekend, he ,my nephew, Jay, close friends, Marcia&Dave &I will be at the 1st game.The team will be playing Boston Bruins. The last time I was at a Sabres game was back in the 70's Sue

Our Penguins made it in also.

Everyone has their hopes up that the "Big Three" will hoist one more cup together!

I was at the game last night with my brother, John,nephew, Jay close friends, Marcia&Dave and son Alexei.
John got us great seats on the 1st level about 15 rows up from rinkside,the atmosphere was loud, bosterous, 1st time John&I had been to Sabres game since the 70's
For the 1st 2 periods Bruins was the better team they outplayed the Sabres until 8 min left in the 3rd period when things turned around. When Tage Thompson scored the 1st goal bedlam, and when he scored 2nd goal everybody went crazy.When Samuelson scored the go ahead goal,I can;t describe it was awesome
The team needs to change few things if they want to advance to the 2nd round Sue
