It is rather silly, but it's not the silliest idea ever suggested.
On one broadcast they were discussing armed security at schools. One politician on the news came up with a solution & talked about it on TV (I forgot the idiot's name)
He suggested every classroom have a bucket of rocks to throw at a mass shooter. (much cheaper than security)
Well, anyone who has some knowledge of ballistics knows how stupid that is, but for those who don't:
A professional baseball pitcher can throw a 95 mph fast ball. A teacher? Who knows.....maybe half that.
A bullet from a typical AR15 in .223 caliber leaves the barrel at 3,100 feet per second. An AK bullet - around 2,400 feet per second.
Gee.....which will get there sooner?
