Are you trying to teach the chicken how to lay eggs Vicky?:playful:

If so, before I take that little blue pill, do you fancy a dance first?!

Lol, I didn't know the answer to the question 'what came first, the chicken or the egg' was settled?

What song are we dancing to?

Well I just had gas and air to breath in when I couldn't stand the pain.
You know, like a woman is having a baby! :playful:
When they went into my rear end they found a couple of non cancerous polyps, but they couldn't cut them out as I am on warfarin.
Now on about 4 weeks time I have to go back in hospital again as just a day (nut) case coming off warfarin for a few days before the procedure.
Then they will be going in even deeper to see if there is anything more nasty going on, as I had been showing some blood in the brown stuff.
Next time though, I am going to ask to be put out with anesthetic.

Sorry to burden you guys with my worries, but one way and another I just want them to get to the bottom of it!

Research is showing that colonoscopies are proving unnecessary for most and can be completely avoided by most who don't have a history of colon cancer in the family..

I personally think that saying this is wrong.this is a test that has saved many lives.why take a chance and change iit?

A new non-invasive test has also been developed which is more effective. This "rooter rooing" method has been a big money maker for the doctors involved.

In the UK we get sent the blood in the poop test kit in the mail every year once we hit 60. Always looks forward to that. :playful: We can request a colonoscopy if we want one. I was getting them in the US once I hit 45.

I had some intestinal grumbles a few years ago and was sent firstly for a flexible sigmoidoscopy and a DCBE (double contrast barium enema). The sigmoidoscopy was interesting as it was at a local clinic and the doc pointed out the 'interesting' bits on the viewing screen. It was also painless.

The DCBE was less pleasant - they pour a high contrast fluid the 'wrong way' up your 'exhaust pipe' , inflate it with gas and X-ray it with a high definition camera. It's like having severe 'wind'. By the time all this had happened, the initial condition had cleared up and in the absence of any problem being found, the Doc diagnosed IBS and it's been fine ever since.

I was told that for a number of reasons, colonoscopy was not performed unless absolutely necessary.

Woohoo!! My ex just called and said my daughter told him about my septic problem & he's sending me a check to cover it. Woohoo!! here's myparty!! yeah I'm dancing..yay!
