Burning toes?

I've had this happen a few times recently. Two of my little toes on my right foot will suddenly get this intense burning feeling that lasts 5 to 15 minutes or so. This happens a couple times a day, but not every day. Any ideas what would cause this?

Could be Neuropathy, which has several causes. Are you diabetic?

I have neuropathy due to back injury and I have the same problem with the burning toe issue.

Classic peripheral neuropathy symptoms.

Sometimes it's a burning sensation, sometimes a feeling of being shocked (that's mine), sometimes pins and needles.

If the doctors can't find a reason, such as diabetes, nerve damage, etc., they call it Ideopathic Peripheral Neuropathy, which stands for I-Graduated-From-Medical-School-But-I-Can't-Figure-Out-What's-Wrong-So-I'll-Call-It-That-To-Justify-My-Big-Fee.

Sounds very much like peripheral neuropathy then. Your doctor can confirm that.
