Bushy eyebrows ?

What the heck is the deal with old men letting their eyebrows grow long and bushy ?

Do they quit caring about their appearance after hitting a certain age ?......do they think it looks distinguished ?

What brought this up is that mama and I went out to eat yesterday evening and she quietly told me to look at the guy a couple tables over and smiled......to each his own I guess but his eyebrows actually stuck out over his glasses. :)

With me liking to see the veins pop out in her forehead and while keeping a straight face I told her I thought that it looked very dashing and that I was going to give it a try.......she gave me "The Look" and mumbled something about using a Weed Eater on me in my sleep if I did. ;)

Whatcha think ?

I have them (keep trimed) ,half brother had them, must have inherited from our mother!!!

Age related fading vision is worrying enough without adding to the problem with

bushy eyebrows. Between haircuts, I trim my own, since my lady friend moved back home.

That was probably me, Ike.

(Read my "Glasses?" thread.. :))

IMO, they are not at all attractive, so best to trim them up. The good news is that grey hair on a man is gorgeous, especially prematurely grey, so that makes up for the bushy brows. :)

I don't like anything blocking my vision. If a stray hair gets in the way I clip it or pluck it. My barber usually asks if I want my brows trimmed and I say sure. What makes me feel old is when he trims my ears.

Yes, trimming them is good. :)But I guess if you don't go by looks a person still can be beautiful.

I have a friend that has hair growing out of his ears. I often tell him about it and he gets upset with me, but I'm still going to tell him at the request of his wife.

I've never had bushy eyebrows although at times they have curled up on the outer/upper ends to give the appearance of the devilish tiny horns (of course I don't carry a pitch fork). Why some men like them I don't know. I guess if you don't like them find a trimmer pair. But the man in your close up photo can wear them anyway he likes, because he's some one I admired. He was a writer. and I was a wannabe. Maybe in the next life.
