Never been there, but sure would like to visit. Have been to 18 Presidential grave sites though.

The initial relocation pictures kind of reminds me of the abandoned theme park somewhere off Route 66 where The Boards of Canada recorded their "Reach For the Dead" video.

Every now and then I go pass a drive-in movie theater that was on my patrol route near Philadelphia. I would drive in there around 3 or 4 in the morning and eat my lunch, if I brought one. I could imagine sitting in the car with my girlfriend watching the movie and having to hike all the way to the refreshment stand between movies to get some food and drinks. Brought back a lot of good memories. Hard to believe something so Americana is gone.

I have seen a mall abandoned, a drive in theater and a lot of feed mills all abandoned. Even schools that were abandoned and one was turned into an apartment house. There is an old mill not far from where I live that was a feed mill where they cracked corn with a big wheel being turned by a stream turning the wheel. It's going to be a county landmark someday whenever they put the sign up to commemorate it.
