Caitlin Clark and the WNBA

I was watching highlights on YouTube last evening of Indiana games. With three officials on the floor, I don’t know how they could miss some of the calls with intentional fouls and some of the fouls that were flagrant. It appeared that Sophie and Caitan protect each other and also retaliate when a player from the other team takes a cheap shot at one or the other.

I think Greiner and Reese, the two most violent and cheap shot players on the floor, are gone. If they are, I don’t know if they went voluntarily or by order from the league. The Commissioner should also go and probably the whole officiating crew and start over by hiring a whole new crew. As far as I know, no one has come out and said what gender Greiner is.

Sophie is a wicked person when she gets a cheap shot. I think she has three black belts. Getting back to the officials, I believe they are corrupt. No one can miss some of the calls they have.

I'm not into sports but if I were to watch any sport..it would be basketball. I got to see her rise to fame by watching GMA (all the anchors are big sports fans) and learned that she's an amazing player. It was pointed out on GMA that since she joined the WNBA, viewership and ticket sales are way up. I don't understand why the league wouldn't want to do all they can to protect such a valuable player!

I didn't realize she was doing commercials for Gatorade.

It's kinda cool to me because I'm a U of F Alumni. (That's where Gatorade was developed) I transferred there from Junior college in 1967 and graduated in 1969.

Gatorade has just been developed then. But It didn't help the football team much. They kinda sucked the 2 years I was there. :p

That’s nice, but doesn’t mean squat to me. I watched some games this season. She is definitely a star. I also like Sophie Cunningham. Not only is she a good player, but I think the announcer said she has 2 black belts. All that and she’s very pretty also.

The WNBA isn’t getting any better. It reminds me of the old Roller Derby. The officials aren’t paying very close attention to the game on the floor. Are they using high school officials? They are missing a lot.
Roller Derby? What’s that? The refs do miss a lot of fouls, maybe some on purpose. They could end up ruining the league.
Some of those fouls are intentional and meant to do harm.

"The Big 3 reportedly offered Clark $15 million to participate in the 2025 season. "We offered Caitlin Clark $15 million," Tattoo revealed during a TFU Podcast clip that has since been removed. "It started at $5 (million). But the official final offer was $15 million for 10 weeks."

Caitlin turned down an offer to play in a summer league here in the USA that would have been in the off season to the WNBA. That is exactly why she would never consider going to the European league.

From AI:

Frequently Asked Questions – Queen City Roller Derby ...
Roller derby is a full-contact sport on quad roller skates where two teams of five skaters compete to score points by having their designated "jammer" lap opponents on a flat, circular track. While skaters simultaneously play offense and defense by blocking and creating openings for their jammer, they must also hinder the opposing jammer. The game is divided into short "jams," with the objective being to score points by passing opposing skaters.
