To be honest, I don't worry much about escapees as I doubt they are any worse than a lot of the people already running lose. There are gang shootings and all sorts of crap going on all the time. A few years ago the police issued a warning for people not to go out at night in the small farming town 11 miles from my house. This wasn't a temporary warning, it was ongoing and probably still is. During the day you wouldn't know all the gang activity going on there but at night it's a different story. Well, except for the day my son was at the only bank in town and a man was shot off a bike and killed right across the street from the car my grandson was sitting in. I had to have a bag a Cheetos one night about 9 or 10 pm so we went to the gas station/liq store where I buy my lotto sometimes and I waited in the truck while my husband went in. Then we realized why we weren't suppose to be out at night down there. And up here in the mts we've had our share of violent crime. A man cut his wife's head off in front of the children one night. That was about 10 years ago. Last year someone (No arrests have been made but a lot of the locals claim they know who did it) burnt up a barn or shed a druggie lady was living in just a few miles further up the mountain from me. I just try to put a white light of protection around myself and walk through the valley of the shadow of death.
