California To "over look" Identity Theft By Illegals Applying For An Illegals Drivers License

California has apparently told their DMVs to over look or ignore identity theft by illegal aliens applying for an illegal's driver license.

So if an Amercan Citizen put fraudulent information on government documents and/or admitted to stealing someone else's id/committing a crime they wouldn't be prosecuted or denied what ever???

The dippy hippy state is aiding and abetting and facilitating crime, again.

You mean those illegals can just go in and obtain a drivers license under another identity? They don't need 3 pieces of legal documents? Do illegals have a birth certificate from their country? I don't even know.
Hmmmm. what kind of crock is this?
I don't think illegals should have any rights. They should be made to learn our country's rules and language and abide by it, then apply for citizenship. Giving away free stuff to illegals is not fair to those who have worked to obtain what they have.

Of course not... much better to let folks behind the wheel of a 2000 pound vehicle and not know if they are able to operate it or not... They ARE going to drive you know.... do you want them unlicensed?

That said.... the OP is not exactly accurate...

AB2189 by Assemblyman Gil Cedillo, (D) of Los Angeles, will let the Department of Motor Vehicles issue licenses to illegal immigrants eligible for work permits under a new Obama administration policy. The bill requires the department to accept as proof of legal residence whatever document the federal government provides to participants in its deferred action program.
Cedillo said his bill will make roads safer while letting young immigrants drive to school and to work. His reasoning drew support from several Republican lawmakers, while other Republicans argued the state should leave immigration issues to the federal government.

Accept whatever documents the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT PROVIDES as proof of legal residence to it's participants in it's deferred action program. A whole lot different than stolen identity papers...

Under a law that just took effect in California that made it possible for illegal aliens to obtain a "special" California drivers license. California is one of several states that have rationalized giving drivers licenses to illegal aliens under the premise that will get trained and/or obtain insurance-The same individuals who already broke many known laws without blinking an eye.

DMV officials have told staff to 'overlook' identity theft when they come across it. Identity theft is normally prosecuted as a felony in California. Supposedly "IF" it was only used on or to obtain government documents which I assume to mean unless they have proof it was used in another crime or it is flagged on some kind of computer check ignore it even though they know it was/is stolen ID which is theft/fraud. But obtaining government documents does allow some to obtain services or employment which is still using id theft for personal gain. Unless California has mandatory reporting of crime requirements they will probably get away with it but the DMV administrators who made and stated such policy should be prosecuted themselves especially now since they have proof of intent to cover up a probable crime or shelter a possible criminal suspect by not reporting them or activities to the police.

These people are the parents of the Dreamers.... They are granted work permits under the Presidents EO.... In order to work.. they need to be able to drive to work.... It is better that they are tested and licensed..... NOW...if Republicans are against this executive order...THEN they need to pass their own immigration bill.... What's holding them up? Why not put something together and vote on it? they have the majority now.. in both the House and the Senate... Rather than bitch about what the President did on his own.... why don't they come up with something.. What's stopping them??

As some of us have said.. NOW is the time to quite complaining about the President and GOVERN..... ya know... like they were elected to do? lol!!

You liberals sure follow your talking points. Blame the republicans for not passing an immigration bill. FYI we have Immigration laws. Those who sneak across the border are breaking the law. President Obama is refusing to enforce the law. He is aiding and abetting criminals. The republicans have been trying for years to get Obama to secure the border first.

Anything congress might pass that differs from what Obama wants will be vetoed. Nice try, but blaming republicans for everything is childish. It's time to grow up and take responsibility for your own actions.

Then Pass something, maybe? Unless of course you feel that we should begin the process of trying to deport 12 million people... If that's what you mean by following existing laws? Most rational "mature" people understand that THAT would be impossible.. SOOOO.... That leaves some sort of Immigration reform bill... Tell your "party in control" to stop worrying about abortion, the ACA.. and keystone.. and get to work solving some problems... It's time for them to govern.. not just sit there and whine about "ooohhhhhh He'll just veeeeeeetooo... everything... boo hoo..... Write some bills!! That would be a novel idea.. lol!!

NOT identification

Apparently in Vermont who is also giving illegal immigrant/alien drivers licenses is getting flack for forwarding some applicant's names for further investigation.

http://humanevents.com/2015/01/23/m...rges-vermont-dmv-not-to-investigate-illegals/

This illegal alien drivers license is double edge sword in which the illegal wants both edges in their favor. On one hand they want the same privileges and rights as a legal citizen yet they don't want to meet the standards or go through the same process. If an American citizen applicant is suspected of fraud their name will get forwarded for further investigation. One of the problems in Vermont is that it is attracting a lot of out of state applicants where many can't provide proof of residency. Part of the reason they want these licenses so bad in their mind they think or assume this makes them legal or validates their behavior.

In the case of illegal aliens it should be what it is, nothing more-a drivers license. NOT a form of ID an American citizen or legal resident can use. This is why the complaints of special designation on those licenses as well.

The way things are going in this country...especially California, and the bulk of the SW...Spanish will probably be the primary language in much of the country in another few decades. Perhaps our schools should start teaching Spanish as a requirement under this "Common Core"...our grandkids, and beyond, may need to know Spanish. Illegal immigration has gotten so far out of control that it would be almost impossible to reverse it.

There are ways to slow down this migration. If employers had to verify that a person was in this country legally, or face a huge fine for hiring them, that might put a damper on the numbers coming here. Then, if the government ceased all welfare and aid to illegals, that would be another positive step in stemming the flow. Also, the practice of granting citizenship to "Anchor Babies" needs to be removed. So long as the illegals can live better here than in their home country, they will continue to enter illegally.
