California Wildfires

Yesterday the air quality was better here, too. The Bobcat fire is only 9% contained and continues to grow. Cool nights and very light winds should help the firefighters get a handle on this.

Here in the Oregon Coast Range we had two thunder cells move through last night and a couple of deluges of rain. We got a quarter of an inch. It cleared the air. The air quality is now good. I only smell newly wet vegetation when I go out. What I don't know yet is if there were lightening strikes that caused more fires. It's raining now - yea!!!!! Small victories! It's supposed to rain some today. I have yet to get an update on the fires.

We got 1.3 inches in 36 hours ending this morning.
