I would say Yes, as long as you won't have any future need for the other wires.Big mess of wires behind my chair. Only one goes to my Wi-Fi set-up. Can I cut the other wires and drop them down into the crawl space, leaving one wire.
I would ask the same thing. Do they go to any of the things in the picture? Is there any reason you can't just remove the wires you don't need?
Are they coaxial cables from your internet provider? If so, they could be energized.Big mess of wires behind my chair. Only one goes to my Wi-Fi set-up. Can I cut the other wires and drop them down into the crawl space, leaving one wire.

Diva. They run from the back of the house to the front. I would have to crawl on my belly to remove them.Is there any reason you can't just remove the wires you don't need?
That’s exactly what I was wondering too.Are they coaxial cables from your internet provider? If so, they could be energized.
I’ll try that but the hole isn’t much bigger than the cable. If there is a hole in the floor to allow the cables to be there then why not feed the cables back down thru that? That way what ever those cables are there for will be available if you should ever need them.
In which case, you'd need to run them through some conduit, Pappy. You'd need help with that. Are there any varmits in your crawl space that might chew on them?
Hopefully the cables were fed thru with the connection already crimped on. Otherwise they should feed back down thru. Good question about varmits, but if the cables weren't chewed thru already most likely there are none. But spiders a potential, I don't like spiders.I’ll try that but the hole isn’t much bigger than the cable.
Maybe, I like @Knight 's idea, just push the unwanted ones down through the hole. That way they will still be there if you ever need them.Big mess of wires behind my chair. Only one goes to my Wi-Fi set-up. Can I cut the other wires and drop them down into the crawl space, leaving one wire.
