.at your Christmas gifts?
I am such a pokey nose..I can't resist opening things before Christmas.

Some of my staff at work have given me gifts already and as soon as I got home I opened them..can't resist..:D

..but worst of all, my daughter sent me a Christmas gift from Spain which arrived yesterday with strict instructions written on the box to not open until Christmas......I managed to last 3 hours..and you guessed it, I just had to open it..

What about you, can you resist ?

When our children were young they were allowed to open one gift before going to bed
on Christmas eve and we did too.
My husband and I still do that, open one gift and keep the others for Christmas morning.
It is hard for me not to open more but it's fun in the morning to have some surprises. :)

Sorry, but I feel honor bound to report this to your daughter. Telephone number please.

The past few years,we bought each other's presents while together:):)....and somehow ...still managed to be surprised!:)

My wife has a heck of a "right hook", if I "sneaked a peak" at anything......only kidding. Anyway, almost everything we've bought for each other, we were both there when bought. The first few Christmas's we were together, we did buy each other gifts alone. After that, we just starting buying things together.

Hubby and I bought each other a super-duper snowblower this year.. I have selfish kids... so I won't be getting anything from them... BUT I sure am expected to give... to them and the grandkids.. BUT Christmas is for kids afterall... so I'm not upset in the least.

But ya know what... every year... deep deep down inside I kinda wish someone would give me a really nice surprise.. It doesn't ruin my fun though... I love seeing the GKs open gifts and go crazy for them... but sometimes... it would be nice to feel the way they do.

I won't have a chance to peek this year. Our family gathering is the day after Christmas due to work obligations by some family members. But I do have a gift I bought for myself due in Monday. A new bass guitar. I'll probably go ahead and take a peek at that. ;)

My first Christmas with my husband taught me a lesson I will never forget, so I never peeked again. All the presents were under the tree, I tried feeling/shaking it. My neighbor came over and wanted to know if I knew what I was getting, confessed to her what I had done, she said, "Did you smell it", never thought to do that, it smelled of leather, turned out to be a beautiful engraved leather purse. Knowing all that, it spoiled my Christmas so I never touched a present that was mine. I would rather be surprised!

Never peeked, not even as a child. The presents were never hidden, we just knew we weren't allowed to open them until Christmas Day. It's just stuck with me.

Naw! It would make Christmas so boring. Besides, I'm finally living alone. Daughter and grandson coming here for Christmas but until then I don't have access to peek anyway -- and neither, fortunately, do they.

Did until I was 11, remember that year. I was a nature snoop, there was one present under the tree I couldn't figure out. Our family's tradition was like most being that we could open one gift Christmas eve and the rest in the morn. Guess which one I chose? Had a dismal morning watching my sibling's excitement with theirs and swore never to do that again. I stuck to it and still enjoy the excitement of gift giving to others.
