Can you watch horror films?

The first of these was really, really scary. This is the sequel and it ups the horror adding the supernatural on top of the plague virus infection.

Note the R rating of the trailer. This is top tier horror.

I like a good horror movie, but only when they are unique and creative. These days it seems like every description starts with "A group of friends gather in a remote cabin....". When a new concept comes out, unfortunately, it is followed by a zillion copycats that are just not good or are boring. Also, anybody with a phone can film a movie these days, and for some reason, they all think horror is the easiest genre to make. There are some truly awful "independent" horror movies out there and streaming services are so desperate for content...

The genre defining ones for me are things like Exorcist, Babadook, Nightmare on Elm Street, The Omen. Saw, Hellraiser, The Ring. There are others I'm sure that just don't come to mind. The original Ju-On (Grudge) Japanese movies may be the ones that have scared me the most when watching them. I even have a copy of the short film "4444444444" that started the whole Ju-On saga.

I am somehow puzzled that you didn't mention "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hide" (Original and some remakes).

Not a fan of horror and October will be TV horror movie month. It's already started early. I can watch bits of some on the TV. I do like The Shinning. The movie Silence of the Lambs, I thought was lame.

But I can get creeped out pretty easily.

I will watch anything below the ax murder meant to scare the begeeezles out of you. I will watch
those with a not real life situation but sort of make believe such as Supernatural series (just cause
I adore the sibling thing between those 2). There has to be more than blood squirting all the time.

No …I stated watching a DRAMA …. on Netflix , …..called the Ed Gein story … ( apprently a true story )

.NAH …..

it should be …..Re ……classified as Horror in my opinion…..no thanks …

Yes, blood and gore everywhere no problem. Even while eating.
