Who uses a plate?
I just eat right out of the carton.
Sometimes, I have a whole meal while standing in front of the fridge.

I don't mind the food touching but I like to eat a bit of each food and not clean up one item at a time. I used to not like the idea for one pot bowl of food but I changed my mind quickly about that after spending the last couple of years preparing the food. I will NOT eat at a fast food place if the meat is sitting out as I don't know how long it's been sitting out. i.e., the hot dogs cooked at the New York fries - they are on that grill before 10 a.m.!

When I cook family meals, I serve up the meat, fish, potatoes, vegetables, gravy etc.. in separate pots or dishes and put what we want on to our own plate. I don't think any of us worry too much about presentation.

For those who hate their food touching, they must have hated the elite restaurants that piled the items on top of each other. For presentation. I recall when this trend started and a server brought out my meal, he explained ”isn’t this brilliant?” I said “no.”

It’s meant to be food pretending to be art. Ain’t that special?

My Great-great-uncle used to say it didn't matter because it all ended up in the same place anyway.

Yes, my food is allowed to touch, but that's where I draw the line. It's not allowed to get down and funky in front of me. Please save that for behind the refrigerator door. We need to have some decorum around here!
