Oh, yes, we Canadians are a friendly lot, for sure, but I hear the ones in the west - including Alberta - don't prefer the ones in the east, maybe because Ontario is the largest province and gets the biggest piece of the pie, who knows!? My sister relocated to BC in her 20's and would now never admit she is from the east! Then, there's the real eastern part, like Newfoundland and PEI and New Brunswick, well, they have a different dialect - of course we speak English perfectly ha! I'm glad your fam is enjoying Canada, we are a peaceful people, they are safe here. I didn't realize it was cold in Australia, so maybe you could educate me.
