Car insurance companies are having to total electric cars if the battery is scratched in an accident. Most electric vehicle batteries unrepairable especially Teslas. Companies are working on repairable batteries but not many models yet.

This also creates another problem because electric car battery recycling also not available in many areas. The UK has no electric car battery recycling facilities. Which they're being stored until recycled or disposed of. Which defeats the environmental reasons many use to buy those cars.
