Which 2?His evaluation of my last visit on the patient portal was that I was "a heavy-set, pleasant, middle-aged woman." I guess 2 out of 4 isn't bad.

In my experience a doctor wants to have seen me within the past year before they are willing to renew a prescription. Maybe you could contact your previous cardiologist to see if he would renew the prescriptions? Can you switch back to the other cardiologist for future appointments?I also just realized I needed new prescriptions - no refills left on the old ones. I left a message on the patient portal to call in new prescriptions to my pharmacy. And it was the same thing like the blood test request - see your PCP. What is it with this guy? What's it to him that he can't request a new prescription for me or order blood work?
I've been on them so long, I forget who initiated them.Who originally started you on the prescriptions?
Heavy set and a woman. If he considers 73 years as middle aged, he expects I'll live past 140 years. Probably "heavy set" is a euphemisitc way of saying "moderately obese".Which 2?![]()
My experience has been similar to yours with my zero premium BCBS Advantage Plan. What an amazing difference in health care providers.
With our advantage plan.
1. PCP no copay
2. Labs/blood work no copay
3. Labs/blood results scheduled a week before our every 4 month PCP office visit.
4. We are given copies of the results, our PCP discusses the results with us on our office visit.
5. Prescriptions except for Eliquis are free.
6. Prescriptions are mailed to us a month before the prescription runs out.
7.Prescription renewal is automatic. The renewal is coodinated with the prescribing doctor. If any change we will be notified by the prescribing doctor.
8.Not once in all the years we've been on our Advantage plan has there been a problem.
Reading Deb's problems makes me aware that we are fortunate to have the kind of coverage we have.
Did you not post that you are supposed to lose weight but that what a dietician will suggest is not what you want which is carbs and sugar. It is your health and well being! His evaluation of my last visit on the patient portal was that I was "a heavy-set, pleasant, middle-aged woman." I guess 2 out of 4 isn't bad.
Similar here. I am on no medication but monthly B12 shots. SO had open heart and major spinal over the last two years so slowly getting off what he can get off. Mediction renewal initiated by the pharmacy. PCP will let him know if she or one of his other providers needs to see him. Her nurse is a great admin! What an amazing difference in health care providers.

My PCP had never ordered any blood work, even when I requested it and I only see her on an "as needed" basis.
Y'know, I'm going to have to agree with you there. My mother lived to 95 with all her faculties intact and taking care of herself very well. But....I don't think I have it in me to shuffle along this mortal coil that long with my health and mind intact. I don't want to be a burden to either myself or others. If I interpreted Google's information correctly, I have a life expectancy of 5 years, and that is good news for me. I am going to go before my mind is gone, and I can't take care of myself. That is a weight off my shoulders.
Have you seen the movie Harold and Maude?Y'know, I'm going to have to agree with you there. My mother lived to 95 with all her faculties intact and taking care of herself very well. Yep, several times. When I lived in Michigan, there was a little theatre down the street that had been playing Harold and Maude (and almost ONLY Harold and Maud) for four years. I say "almost" because on Friday nights, they played Rocky Horror Picture Show.Have you seen the movie Harold and Maude?
