Cars slipping, sliding and crashing in the snow.. Southern England..

Amazing, it's raining here, you cannot have a frost when it rains. Not that it's all that pleasant but after the cold snap it does feel so much warmer.

And these cars are still in their own driveways, being on the roads must be fun. 😊

no sign of rain here at all.. altho' it has been forecast... but I'm very concerned about that, because I have a leak in the Barn.. and the snow which is currently about 8 inches thick is going to melt all over the workbench. I've tried brushing the snow off, but it means getting up on the top rung of ladders, and the ladders are slipping in the snow, plus the snow is so hard and packed it just won't be brushed off.. so either way.. I've got problems.. but the worst will come if it rains. My preference would be for the snow just to melt away..

Just saw these headlines...
Freezing rain
and up to six inches of snow will bring ice chaos across UK today as drivers are warned to expect treacherous travel conditions and road closures with weather warnings in place for all parts of Britain — before temperatures soar to 15C tomorrow.

Ice will build up to two or three millimetres on untreated road surfaces, likely causing dangerous travel conditions today, with the Met Office issuing a 'danger to life' warning.

But within 24 hours, temperatures are expected to jump as the cold snap will be replaced with warmer weather due to milder air coming in from the Atlantic.

Daytime maximum temperatures across the UK on Monday will range from 11C to 15C — in stark contrast to the chilly temperatures recorded over the last week.

On Tuesday, the mercury plunged to -17.3C in Braemar in Scotland — the coldest temperature since February 11, 2021.

On more recent nights, other places around the country have recorded lows of -10C to -15C.
