I had both of my eyes done in June of this year. I wish I had got it done sooner. Like as stated above, everything is so much brighter and clearer. The only difference between before and after is now I need reading glasses whereas before I didn't. Before, I needed glasses to drive and see far away, now I don't so I'm kind of opposite from where I was prior to the surgery.

Mine was free with Medicare. The only thing I had to pay for were the eye drops I had to instill after the surgery, and I believe those were about $40.
I was hesitant too. After having had both eyes done, I wish I'd had it done sooner. My vision is so much clearer and colors brighter. I dreaded the procedure for no good reason. It was a piece of cake.
