Getting in someone else's face like that should be criminal, especially with covid-19. A minute later the peaceful Catholic is attacked. The attacker later "attempts" to throw out the excuse that he was fighting a terrorist.

Treat others how you want to be treated.

Why isn't this considered a hate crime and in the darling media's national attention?
If the roles were reversed, I'm sure it would be.

Something is rotten in Denmark - as the old saying goes.

Because, WHO is the Hater? From The Times of Israel:
"St. Louis archdiocese defends statue of King Louis IX, who persecuted Jews
Missouri city’s namesake presided over notorious public burning of the Talmud and issued order to expel his Jewish subjects"
"A group of activists in the city are calling for the statue to be removed because of Louis IX’s anti-Semitism and leadership of two Crusades during his reign in the 1200s. Louis IX presided over a notorious public burning of the Talmud, a Jewish sacred text, and issued an order to expel his Jewish subjects."

Maybe that's why? Who is the Hater?

Hate on either side of the isle is wrong. I could care less about the statue coming down, but rather how people are treated. Violence begets violence. Abusive behavior is abusive behavior. @Pepper did you even watch the video? Do you actually justify this hatred? When will peace reign - never when hate is condoned for ANY reason.

How far back in history do any of us have to go to "justify" bad behaviour? This is such a sad mindset - one side pushes until the other side has enough and pushes back.

Edit: Changed "when it is condoned" to "when hate is condoned"

Yes, @Gardenlover, I watched the video. I agree with you that it was a stupid, dumb thing to do. I was just curious as to why it occurred, so I looked up the history of St. Louis, and of course, he was no different than any other European Christian alive at that time.

The last four years have been exhausting. I want it to end. I never thought things could be worse than in the sixties where I saw families split apart over the length of someone's hair, but it's way worse now, way worse. I'm sick of the anger & divisiveness and that's all I can say without breaking the SF code.
