I am just looking into this and am learning a lot. However, it is a scary subject. The oil, or ointment or cream ( yes it comes in all these forms) can treat arthritus, and other ailments the elderly have. Articles about this say it can be taken before or after your regular medication schedule (30 minutes) and have no ill effects. I am only repeating what I have read. I have in no way done any of this. But, all the side effects of some of our medications vs none with CBD sounds great. I just don't want to do this stuff and along the way it causes setbacks during some surgery or treatment because I decided to try a cream for my arthritus. Anyone, have any experience in this?

I tried three strengths 500,750,1000 mg. Followed the directions exactly...over a period of about two months give or take..It did not help me at all.

I even tried the paste, and the lozenges.....no help there either.

Thank you AZ Jim, and it is expensive to try and it not work! Unless you got a trial size. I have someone who will sell me a trial size for less than $12. That I could do.

Thank you for your input, rgp. I have considered the price in comparison to Ben Gay which is a lot cheaper. And it works.

MY D-IN LAW -has taken it for a few years -she suffers with bad r/arthritus the tabs --helps her sleep and pain free most of the day --

I use the full spectrum of the plant and it works very effectively but so does limiting sugar and diary products.
If you look up anti inflammatory foods you will notice that some foods produce much inflammation and some don’t.
Inflammation creates arthritic pain since it swells the cells in our body.

Another thing that really helps a lot is walking and doing yoga, especially doing yoga. Stretching out your body each and everyday will elongate your muscles and ligaments and well as act like a lubricating agent to the joints in your body.

Even if you can’t do yoga, find some type of routine that stretches out your body and every major part of your body. It really does make a noticeable difference. This can take as little as 5 minutes a day.

If I'm not being to nosy? How old is she? I keep hearing of younger & younger people being stricken with it. It used to be a disease of the old??

I have found that it DOES help with my osteoarthritis pain. I know many people who have tried it -- some it helps, some it doesn't -- but nobody has said anything about any ill effects.

There is an older thread on this forum about CBD and arthritis -- you might find more information there.

I heard about nightshades, wasn't even thought of back in the day. However, if sugar and sugar substitutes, along with dairy causes inflammation, then I guess I can work on that too. I am very active; line dancing, walking about 5000 to 12000 steps a day. Thanks for the information, really.

Sugar and diary are the top contributors of inflammation so cutting them out or down should help greatly. You stay active which helps. I hope you find the CBD oil works for you.

I don't have arthritis, but the CBD balm, 1,000 mg, helped me recently for lower back pain. It is expensive though so I don't think I'll be buying it anymore after I'm done with this tin. Magnesium Oil is very good also for pain and cramps, I image it would help with arthritis also. My husband tried the CBD oil for some leg and hip muscle pain, and he said it didn't really do anything.

My doctor recommended this. Evidently it has benefits as one of my elderly neighbors has tried it with good results for back problems.
