Cds that you listen 👂 to

I just got a cd from Amazon. I liked Pink Floyd and so I got another cd by David Gilmore. It's called Luck and strange. I think it's very good and I am so glad it wasn't a waste of money. I've listened to several songs on it and so far liked them.

So, anyone want to talk about cd 🎵 🎶 music? If you like a particular one or not, etc?
 

CD's that was a long time ago. All my music is digital. Before iPhone and Sandisk music player I burned my own CD's after downloading music from the internet. Before CD's were cassette tapes, before that were 8tracks. I used to have a bunch of vinyl records too but those days are past.
I don't notice much difference in quality of sound compared to the old modes of listening, I guess I'm used to digital, plus I don't have access to records, 8Tracks, cassettes of CD's like I did before.

I listen to or rather stream YouTube or Spotify, I got rid of Apple Music because of the cost, plus my library was too big to manage so I dumped it and freed up iCloud. I wasn't able to add music anyway because I met my limit of 10,000 songs, I think that was the number.

Well some of us still buy cds and vinyl records. I buy some good cds on Amazon but of course they don't have as many as they used to.
 

I got rid of all my cd's mostly. I think the only ones I might have kept were the bible on cd ones. My player is in the basement somewhere. I haven't used any cds for several years now. I used to have Evanescence and one of Tina Turner in concert and some of my older ones like Madonna and stuff.

I think I have a Madonna cd or 2 or 3. I haven't listened to them in quite awhile.
 
I had quite a few cds but it had been so long since I'd bothered with them and with YouTube I just went ahead and got rid of them when I decluttered the house.
 
I do have quite a few cds - a real mix of genres - but haven't played any in a while. I had a portable cd player which no longer works so I tend to listen/watch via youtube or sometimes 60s/70s/80 music on tv. I think the last cd I bought was a Sam Smith one.
 
I still have hundreds of LPs and many hundreds of CDs and I play them regularly still.

Here's one I have been listening to since I got out of bed. 😊


 
Well, I buy lots of music. I have both Vinyl and CD's.

I have lately (as in this afternoon) been playing a lot of Bob Dylan, from both ends of his career.

I've been listening to Dylan for a long long time, but I still find new things in his recordings. He's still touring!
 
I have over 800 CDs but never listen to them directly. I rip them to digital files and listen to those. I also purchase digital only files of albums, EPs, singles and individual songs and listen to those as well. I have a collection of over 15,000 songs I like and I rotate through them over time and then start over again. I like to listen to my music in shuffle mode so I get a variety of music when I listen.
 
I have a lot of cds and many if not most are ripped to mp3 files onto my hard drive where the Windows Media Player can access them.

But actually the free download music editor called Audacity allows you to record, to a file, anything that plays on your speakers. So anything you listen to over the internet can be recorded like we used to do with cassette tapes.

So there's really no reason to buy cds anymore. My Sony 5 disc player died years ago. So I completely rely on my computer to listen to music.

I can play a single cd on a dvd player I have for watching movies if I want to play music on my stereo system but my PC speakers have excellent sound so I don't use the dvd player very often.

Its rare that albums have all good songs on them. Many contain a couple hits and the rest are fillers.

When you have all your music digitally on your hard drive, you have the option to mix playlists in WMP or to have WMP play your entire music library without having to keep track of your physical cds.
 
I don't listen to CDs anymore because I threw away all, as part of my declutering effort.
I want to clear out as much stuff as possible before I am too old to do so myself, and I certainly don't want to bother anyone if something happens to me.

I've got so many, it depends on my mood what I listen to. It's varied. Some of my favorites are Bob Dylan, Ronnie Milsap, Freddie Fender, Jamie Johnson, Willie Nelson, the Beatles, etc...
