Ceiling of the Years of our Life

My dad died at 92, my mom died at 102. Taking the average, I figure I am good until 97 LOL . Other than a minor accident I am recovering from now, I think I am in good health.
Onr good thing about living longer, is that those who were a PITA to you are gone.

Approaching 60 I often think about how long would I like to live for.
Not having led a heathy lifestyle at anytime I feel that 75 would be the limit for me.
Aches and pains now are a portent of things to come

For must human organisms 90 years is the ceiling for our lives. Few live beyond that time. I am 86 and wonder how others feel approaching the END....!! Doctors are acting to me, when I visit them, like I won't be back soon.
There is a time for everything. Humour is not the usual "go to" when dealing with death but sometimes a bit of humour can be a blessing.

Old age is not as honorable as death, but most people want it.
He who comes for the inheritance is often made to pay for the funeral.
If the rich could hire someone else to die for them, the poor would make a wonderful living.
To pre-pay for a prearranged funeral and then die as late as possible.
An advantage of poverty, your relatives gain nothing by your death.
Make sure to send a lazy man for the Angel of Death.
What you give for the cause of charity in health is gold; what you give in sickness is silver; what you give after death is lead.

Mitch, when you ponder on death, remember this, the alternative is to live forever, not something that I find very appealing.

Do you have a smartphone or device that can download apps? I have been reading about 'snugsafe', it is supposedly a free app you can have on your phone and you check in on it everyday and if you don't check in, it will send a text to whoever you have put as your emergency contact.
I have an anxious daughter who checks on me every few days, plus I am still working and probably my employer would check on me after a few days, but I plan to retire in three months and so maybe I will get the app.
One of the reviews of snugsafe was a person who said that they set the snugsafe reminder time to be when they needed to remember to take their medicine, so they were getting two convenient uses of the app that way.

Snug Safety works very well .... I have it on my iPhone, and use the free version. They have other services that you can pay for if needed.
