He lost. He was also on a slippery slope of pushing a frivolous lawsuit.

I hope she does make hime pay, though not likely he can. IMO, it was to set an example for other celebrities not to ‘blackmail’ them because it’s easier for them to pay than waste time in court.

I don't think she'll make him pay her court costs. But she might let him finance her $1.00 award with 100 equal payments, interest free.

She was a gracious winner when she wished him well. And I have a funny feeling she will not make him pay her court costs.

Was she awarded court costs? I know she was awarded the $1, but getting court costs awarded is something different and usually harder to get. I could not figure out from the press reports.

When I first saw her whisper something to him, I thought she said, "Where's my dollar?"

I watched a little of this case. In my opinion, it should never have come to court, there was no case to answer. His injuries seem to tally with being hit at the front, therefore he must have come up behind her and collided with her.

Skier conflict is serious business with the influx of new skiers and the recent addition of the Ikon and Epic passes creating more ski traffic w novices and people skiing at new places which they are unfamiliar with. I'm glad she stood up to him, and he sounds like an entitled skier, skiing "carpet edge to carpet edge" insuring the highest chance of accidents btwn skiers.

It could have likely been just an opportunity to sue someone with more money than you. I didn't watch any of it. From my skiing days I remember people crashing into all kinds of things, trees, people, and buildings. It's like bumper cars up there.
