I read it as well. You could tell he was a very thorough guy. The case wasn't as easy as it seemed. I also remember him complaining about the prosecution of OJ and that he could've convicted Oswald of killing Kennedy. I must say over the last decade he frequently seemed frail on various appearances.

Yes, I also read "Helter Skelter", and more recently he wrote a book "Outrage" about the OJ Simpson case. I watched his commentary (online videos) about the OJ case. He mainly blamed the prosecution, as I recall, and he explained why. Tough, no-nonsense guy. RIP
