I always thought Gene Simmons & the band "KISS" were a bunch of strange people. This was
filmed in Iraq at a USO tour of a US Marine Base.

I agree with that. It is not like back in the late 60s and 70s when rock music was largely about protests and anti-American sentiments washing over our society.

Reality has set in, for the most part. I hope.
