Cheetahs In Slow-Motion

Excellent video - being a big-cat fan I had seen that a while ago but still love watching it.

That Guy said:
Beautiful! Notice how their head stays level; eyes, ears AND teeth on track. Top o' the heap predator.

Unfortunately for all that perfect form and killing posture they're still easy prey for the biggest predator of all ... :(

Brilliant.
I at first thought. Why is the Cheetah going past the same flower all the time,?
Then all is explained at the end.

I used to watch "Big Cat Diaries", which is produced by the BBC and shown on The Animal Planet every morning here at 7:00 a.m. The show takes place in the Masai Mara in Kenya, Africa. The Cheetahs and Lions are the most featured, but the Leopards are also fun to watch. The show has repeated its episodes over and over that I almost feel that I am friends with the two on camera hosts, Johnathan and Simon. The Cheetah is my favorite cat. The show has stated that the cat can run speeds of 60-70 m.p.h. and no two paws ever hit the ground simultaneously. Their favorite prey is the Thompson Gazelle and if nothing else, they will bring down a calf, if needed, to feed their cubs. Lions, of course rule, and will steal their catch if they come upon them feeding and the hyenas will steal a lion's catch, unless the males are there, in which case, they will go after the hyenas in an effort to kill them. It is a show worth watching.

Being the biggest, baddest predator on Earth one would think we might have some class . . .

Agreed. But we seem to be the biggest bullies.

I can't watch the video due to my old computer. I even admire my indoor cats as little wild animals.

Actually, if you put us and a few big cats in a cage you'd see who the biggest, baddest ones really are ... we're only tough with a weapon in our hands.

True! True! True!

Leave the big cats to the lives they were supposed to have. I've said my cats are miniature wild cats but at least their paw isn't the size of my head.
