Cherry 7-UP

I bought a 2-liter bottle thinking because I like cherries, I would like the soda. Yeechhh! It tasted like marischino cherry juice diluted with club soda (and I don't consider marischino real cherry flavor). Have you ever that this beverage? If so, did you like it?

I've never heard of it before, but overall the only soda pop that I drink is Coca-Cola, and even then I try and limit my intake of soda pop.

Deb. I think you would love homemade spritzers.

Here is a fave of mine!

One part R.W. Knudsen Pure Black Cherry Juice (it's 100% black cherry juice, nothing added), and four to five parts carbonated water. If you like your sparling juice sweeter, add more black cherry juice and less carbonated water.

It is so delicious! Totally like soda pop without all the sugar, and it's 100% natural. Give it a whirl for me!

I haven't seen that in decades.. didn't know it still existed!

When I read your OP,
I thought it might be artificial flavors (of unknown sources!) that made that soda taste strange and awful Deb.
It sounded good to me too, just for a change sometime, so I might have tried it too, though I too, rarely have soda.

Aunt Marg's suggestion sounds much more truly delicious!

I don't know if it was real cherry juice or healthy or not, (which real cherry would be)
but that cherry syrup they used to use at soda fountains, like that, was sure tasty!

No, I never drink soda. I don't understand why anyone does.

It's become an addiction with me. I have tried and tried so many times to cut soda pop out of my life, all to no avail.

While I have greatly reduced my soda pop intake, I still find myself craving a Coca-Cola regularly.

I have tried, with *some* success, to cut my Coca-Cola consumption down to one a week. When I am REALLY craving one and give into temptation, I think I know how a heroin addict feels when he gets a "fix"...…….one hefty swig and I can FEEL that caffeine and sugar coursing through my veins...….

If you just want cherry juice, without the fizz of soda, a very healthy drink is Cheribundi tart cherry juice. It's expensive, but good for you.

And like @jujube, I find myself needing a Coke fix from time to time. .... And what's funny, is that I never really drank it when I was younger.

That's how I feel exactly!

I gave up soda pops of any kind as a teenager. Wouldn't let my children drink it until they became teenagers and I couldn't control what they consumed.
I limited soda pop in the house, too, when my kids were little, and growing up as a young child we only had soda pop in the house around Christmas time.

The only place I saw Knudsen juice was in California. Not sure if it's sold nationwide.
It's likely sold nationwide, in Colorado they have it in health food stores and supermarkets. I also like and use Knudsen juices, currently have their Just Cranberry in my fridge. I like to mix the Black Cherry with plain carbonated water/seltzer, during the holidays if I have some heavy cream on hand, I like to mix some in a tiny glass with the Black Cherry, just as a treat.

There must be thousands of different soda pops now. Same with booze now come in a multiple of flavors. I tried one maple flavored Crown Royal. It was horrible

I've had it and enjoyed it a lot. Cherry Pepsi and Cherry Dr. Pepper are good too. I like drinks that are sweet and fizzy.
