Even thieves know that by the time the car is tracked, it will already be dismantled in a chop shop.
But hey, who knows? It may work better than a Covid vaccine.

It's not like the old days when thieves 'hot wired' a car. Apparently, thieves can detect the computer codes to open the doors and start the engines. So, I doubt they couldn't bypass any tracking device. To be honest, I think the only benefit of those "Don't Steal Me" stickers is to the guy selling them.

If the car jacker sees the sticker he/she might be more likely to kill the owner to delay any reporting of a stolen vehicle. I think I would rather not advertise the instant reporting any maybe save my life.

Don't you just know that a would-be felon will be scared to death of that sticker and go the other way! Rental car jackings dropped almost overnight to almost none just after Florida passed the LTC law especially after 2-3 thugs paid the ultimate price for doing it and also rental car companies stopped attaching the rental car stickers on them then really dropped more after Florida honored out of state permits and also offered them. Prior they really had a bad problem with it, but with the liberal officials in charge that will never happen in Chicago.
