A Chicago police officer was killed and another was injured after gunfire erupted during a traffic stop on Saturday.

At about 9:08 p.m. local time, law enforcement officers approached a vehicle with three occupants before shots rang out, the Chicago Police Department announced on Sunday. A female officer and male policeman were shot during the incident.

The unidentified female officer was pronounced dead at a local hospital, while the man, who has also not been named, is listed in critical condition. Two suspects were apprehended, including one individual who is in stable condition after being shot by police. A gun was located at the scene, and police officers were hunting for a third person who they believed was involved in the crime.

I'm not used to this kind of article. It explains there was a traffic stop. It explains why no police officers names are released. It explains who died who lived & what is happening with suspects.

Totally different.
It doesn't sensationalize by using race in any part of the article.

According to most news sites, the numbers of police who have been killed, so far this year, are up several percentage points from previous years. As many cities are seeing large numbers of police quitting, and few replacements coming in, And "defund the police" campaigns continuing, it will only result in more crime, and more risk for the police.

Those who participated in the police protests might be careful of what they wish for...they might just get it.

They said this murderer shot her in the face. In the face, a women. What kind of criminal can shoot a strange women regardless of job or uniform in the face. That is a vicious cold blood killer. People need to watch the full video of this and other shootings. These acts just did not 'happen'. You can see in the seconds leading up to the act what they are going to do and/or wanted to do.
