Chicago police recruit gets caught with real crack during drug search training

A Chicago police recruit was apparently caught with crack cocaine during drug search training. Another recruit was searching him/cargo pants for a pack of fake heroin.

And just like a suspect he said they weren't his pants.

He said, "These aren't my pants." Sounds a little odd, but who would carry drugs to a drug search? It could happen by accident, but I'd like to hear how the investigation turns out. My first reaction is to believe the guy, but before that I considered that someone slipped them into his pocket as a prank. I think there is more going on than what we get at first glance.
